Our daily lives are surrounded by "media". The term "media" means all things that mediate communication. Not only Mass media but also smartphones and SNS are all media. With so much communication now online, it would be no exaggeration to say that media is what shapes our daily lives.
I think it is important to critically analyze and study the technologies and mechanisms that support media, as well as to have the ability to redesign new shapes of media.
