The dialectic notion in Vygotskian SLA arguments

Since the middle of 1990s, a Vygotskian perspective has been deemed relevant to research on Second Language Acquisition. A central concept in this school of thought is that of dialectics. This study suggests that this concept is helpful in presenting an alternative to the persistent divide between overt scienticism and social constructivism in reserach strands. In this view natural scientific methodology is overcome by more attention paid to the creation of social interaction perspective in integrating and informing research on language learning practices.
